Stamp A Stack Cards
These cards were made at my last Stamp A Stack, everyone there got to make two of every card. I finally figured out that many of my guests never send or give their cards away because they don't want to part with them. Now that they make two of every one, they can send one and keep one if they choose to!
This card is made with the Spring Mini stamp set called Crab & Company. Those Spring Mini sets are only available through the end of June! Click here to view the Spring Mini.
I think this card is so elegant, and perfect for any adult, male or female! My favorite Lovely As A Tree stamp set (page 137) and the Print Pattern background stamp (p 169) make a great combination when used with the It's Your Birthday stamp set on page 182. To view any of these sets access the catalog here.
Here we have a simple and lovely card. I confess that I CASED this one, but the giver is not identified. So, whoever you are, thank you! I love it. This stamp set, Natural Beauty will be retired as of June 30th, forever!
My wonderful upline sent me a card like this (hers was actually much nicer) and I CASED it for my Stamp A Stack. I really like it, it's colorful and cheerful. This uses Happy Everything on page 181 and also the Polka Dots & Petals stamp set from the Spring Mini on page 10. This set goes so very, very well with the Designer Series Double-Sided Paper Petals & Paisleys in the Spring Mini on page 9.
Okay, here's another card that is CASED and another card that uses a retiring set! We made this card at Convention last year, and I've loved it ever since! It uses Simply Circles on page 59 and will be available only until June 30th. I love the circle metal edge tag with the center cut out too, clever way to use it - don't you think? Do you have other "out of the box" uses for the metal edge tags? Please tell!
One of My Favorite Cards
I confess, somewhere over the last year I saw this card at an event and I've been copying different versions of it all over the place! I love the simplicity of the design, and you can create it using any background stamp and any word stamp in any color scheme! For this card I used Stampin' Up!'s Floral Background Stamp as well as the Warm Words Stamp Set (which happens to be on special during April!). Using the layered ribbons (here I have Wide Ivory Organdy Ribbon, with Eggplant Grosgrain layered on top. The hardware is Antiqued Brass Hodgepodge Hardware and the greeting is stamped onto Whisper White card stock. Of course, all products are Stampin' Up! As a note, I find the best way to get a great impression with my background stamps, especially this one, is to use the brayer with the rubber attachment (the one that comes with it) and pick up lots of ink from the Elegant Eggplant Classic ink pad, then roll it onto the background stamp. I repeat this several times to make sure that it's all inky, then, leaving the background stamp on the table, inky rubber side up, I place my card stock on top of it and lay over an additional piece of scrap paper. Then I rub all over with my hand. This way I get good coverage with the ink, as well as uniform pressure all over the image. Do you like it?? Do you have other suggestions for combinations of backgrounds/words/colors?
Last Night's Stamp Club

Here are the three projects we completed last night at my stamp club. They feature the Polka Dots & Paisley Stamp Set, the Petals Jumbo Wheel, and the Petals & Paisley Designer Series Paper. You can view these items in our Spring Mini Catalog on pages 8-9. We had a fun time getting together after taking a big break over the holidays.
